Maintenance and repair
Periodic maintenance
Oil, filters, fluids and a full inspection on the schedule your vehicle needs.
Periodic maintenance is the simplest job in a workshop, and that is exactly why it is so often rushed. Here we follow the schedule in your vehicle manual, not workshop habit or a guess based on mileage alone.
Every visit starts by listening to your complaint and inspecting the vehicle from end to end. Oil, filters and fluids are changed to the maker's specification. If we find something outside the service, we show it to you first and explain the estimate. No extra work goes ahead without your approval.
When the job is done, everything we did is written into the vehicle's service record. That record helps the next service, and it helps you when the vehicle is sold or changes hands.
What the job covers
- Engine oil and oil filter changed to the maker's specification
- Air, cabin and fuel filters checked and replaced when they are due
- Brake fluid, coolant, power steering and transmission fluid checked and topped up
- Brakes, tires, kaki-kaki (suspension and steering), lights and battery inspected
- A fault-code scan where the vehicle supports one
- A service record listing the work done and anything to watch at the next visit

- A service or oil warning light is on in the instrument cluster

Questions
How often does my vehicle need periodic maintenance?
Follow the schedule in your vehicle manual. It usually gives both a distance and a time, whichever comes first. Vehicles that spend a lot of time in heavy traffic, on dusty roads or carrying heavy loads may need a tighter schedule, and we will tell you if that applies.
Which oil do you use?
Oil with the viscosity and standard your manual calls for. If you have a preferred brand, tell us at drop-off and we will use it as long as it meets the specification.
What happens if you find a fault during the service?
We stop, show you what we found and explain the estimate for fixing it. You decide whether it is done now, later or not at all. Either way, the finding goes into the service record.
